Coming up with a good website idea is the hardest part of developing websites. It’s easy to make a clone of a website, but being an innovator is a bit more difficult, it takes a special kind of intelligence. Creativity. Mix and mashing of associations and various websites and other ideas to create an entirely unique peice of software that is useable and helpful to many people. Thinking of what people need is a good place to start, or even better, thinking of what you yourself would use and be excited about using. If you like it, chances are other people will like it. But creating a copy of a site is just being a follower and thats no good and much more difficult. Even if you get to the top of being a follower your still a follower so the only thing to do is step above that into the innovator sphere and reallly give it all you’ve got and just find something passionate to create and biggity bam creation at it’s finest. What would you make? Maybe il follow. Hehe.

Building Networks

Networks are people, sites, anything gathered together to work towards a common goal. Common goal being a project, ideas, or traffic. You can build a network of websites to target a specific goal. This goal should be more traffic, conversions, links etc.

Use the mini-site post to build 5-6 mini-sites. These links 5 of these sites won’t link together. All the sites will point to that sixth site to boost it’s ranking high. The main page should promote some kind of product, then you can focus on getting that site converting. In the mean while the other sites would be pushing traffic to your main landing page.

These Mini Sites create a network that is projected towards a defined niche, so it is very easy to dominate product niches etc.

SEM is an accornym for Search Engine Marketing. SEM is the basis of getting your website noticed, It encompasses optimizing for search engines, Pay Per Click advertising, Viral marketing, Linking and more.

Your website can be likened to a slang word, It is a form of energy that provides some kind of information. Your goal with SEM is to make your information available to the mass market. The most profitable way to do this is through search engines because the traffic is free. Search engines such as google, yahoo and bing find your website, extract keywords which relate to your content and put you in their results for those keywords. This should be the goal of all internet marketting because it is a long-term, free source of traffic.

I’m going to create a few articles, On managing the various aspects of search engine marketting. So stay tuned.
